The Endless Dance of Housework (And Why a Clean Sink is My New High)

Good evening, lovely mamas! Wherever you are in the world, I’m sending you my warmest virtual kisses. Stay strong, mama, and remember to take care of yourself—you truly deserve it.

My day has been a total whirlwind. I woke up early as usual and sent my son off to school with the usual "morning sprint." We almost missed the bus (again!), but hey, that’s motherhood without a filter. It’s exhausting, but so worth it. After the morning chaos, I shared a quick breakfast and a chat with my husband before we both headed off to work. And yes, being a stay-at-home mom and a homemaker is a full-time, demanding job that deserves all the praise in the world!

The to-do list is never-ending: piles of laundry, a bathroom that needs daily scrubbing, school lunches, and then there's the kitchen sink... it’s been waiting for me since last night! I was too tired then, so I left it for the morning—and that’s perfectly okay. When I need rest, I give it to myself.

Between the cooking and the cleaning, I sometimes forget to take care of "me," but I make sure to do it the moment I remember. While tackling that mountain of dishes today, I found myself singing a silly song I made up called "I Love Washing Dishes." Honestly, I think I’m just trying to trick my brain into enjoying it so I can get through it!

Check out the photos—I challenge any mom to deny that a sparkling, empty sink is the most beautiful sight after a long day. It’s funny (and maybe a little scary) that I’ve reached the age where a clean house brings me this much joy! I’m starting to worry about my youth, haha!

Wherever you're following my blog from, your comments mean the world to me. They let me know that my "sparkle doses" are actually reaching you. Take care of yourself, beautiful. Sending you so much love from one mom to another, somewhere in this big world.

Now, I’m finally taking a break with my lovely cup of coffee and treating myself to a delicious slice of cake... because self-care is a must!
